1. August's Remote Viewing challenge - instructions |
|
|
last updated at Aug 06, 2004 05:58 a.m. (1 times) ThanksI
haven't had a good chance to thank Curt's team for the previous
challenge. I'd like to thank Curt, Goshengolly, and Phil Graham for the
wonderful target they selected, for sending with a team, and for
bringing the RV challenge one step further by introducing a scoring
system. I'd also like to thank all the courageous viewers and dreamers who participated. RV instructions
Welcome to the fourth Remote Viewing challenge. Everyone is invited to join. No special skills are needed. It costs nothing. The
fourth Remote Viewing will be much like the previous ones. The ASD
Psiberdreaming Conference 2003 featured a Remote Viewing contest
organized by Dale Graff. We will follow Dale Graff's approach closely.
There is one difference. It is a secret who is playing "Dale". Target and date
Dale's
approach means that the target provider will be actually at the target
location, and will try to send the target to the viewers for 30
minutes. The target provider makes photo's that will be shown later. The
date is set for what will be Friday, August 6, 2004 for most of us, and
Saturday for the Australians. The target provider will start sending at
the following time: - Sydney, Brisbane: 4 am (on Saturday) - Istanbul: 9 pm (Friday) - Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen: 8 pm (Friday) - London: 7 pm (Friday) - New York: 2 pm (Friday) - Los Angeles: 11 am (Friday) - Honolulu: 8 am (Friday) For more times, see Time and Date.com Time not right for you? It will also work when you do it later. Not sure whether you've got something? Send it in!!! Submitting results
There are a few rules when you want to officially join the challenge. -
You're expected to send in a description of the location, obviously.
One or more sketches will help, and are much appreciated. For those
more fluent in other languages: a sketch with a few keywords will do
just fine. - Please submit at most only one (daytime) Remote Viewing, and one dream. - Email your results to the target provider of this month, at the following email address: rvtargetnumber4@hotmail.com, and make sure to do so within 72 hours after the start of this challenge. Simply add three days to the time above. Please note: this is a new address. Do not use one of the previous addresses. Use this new address. Discussion of the results
Please note that this entire last chapter has been rewritten for the fourth RV challenge. The
planning for this RV is that the results are posted immediately after
the three days. Unless everybody submits the last minute. All submitted
viewings will be published, with feedback on all possible hits. The
previous challenge introduced a scoring system. This fourth RV will
adopt the four underlying scoring categories, yet also aim to to keep
things as simple and transparent as possible. The categories are: 1. General location (country, city, general area) 2. Specific location (object, building, site) 3. Associated themes (myths, legends, backgrounds) 4. Other psi hits Other
than this, guidelines on deciding who wins are still under development.
The target provider will make a decision on best hits per category, and
overall best hits on the location. Good luck! Harry P.S. Did I mention the challenge is open to everyone? Give it a try, it's fun! There's a webpage with some background information.

P.S.
This will be the last challenge for a while, to make room for a much
larger psi dreaming event, organized by Ed Kellogg. Please consider
participating in the Psiber Dreaming Conference in September / October. You are likely to enjoy it a lot!

| Hey, I thought I posted a message here yesterday! Where did it go? Anyway,
I have a mailinglist I use to send reminders shortly before the
challenge starts. Most of you are on this mailinglist. Anyone who wants
to be added too, just let me know. Good to see you all here. Ilkin,
send me your viewing by email. I'm not participating myself during the
72 hours, so I can let it count as an official submission any time you
reconsider. Harry

|
| Hi Patty, Well,
I can only speak for myself, but I have submitted BOTH a viewing and a
subsequent dream for the past two viewings. Others might contradict me,
but I think that a remote viewing takes place in 'dreamtime' too, and
if time is not a restriction in sleep dreams, then perhaps it need not
be in a waking 'dream' either, thus allowing you to tune in, either
before or after the actual sending time. Although
I would imagine that perhaps it would work better to do it
retrocognitively, than precognitively, probably because, I think, since
the sender is a link, which suggests a degree of telepathy, then unless
s/he has experienced the sending, it might be harder for others to tune
in to the experience. Hope that helps. Kay

Patty (Aug 05, 2004 01:55 p.m.): Yes Kay,That does help, thank you.
Patty - I think that Harry somewhere made the stipulation that participants submit only one waking impression and/or only one dream -- not a lot of them! Curt |

|
| I just edited the instructions. I'm
trying to get more non-English speaking people to join. That's where
the additional remark about sketches comes in. I hope there will be a
few more Dutch people this time, and for later RV's I hope to get more
German speaking people. Just starting close at home. If anybody else wants to promote the RV challenge in other language areas, please go ahead.
