|
| The
72 hours for submitting have past. I'm now going to reveal the target
provider. The target (hear the drum roll) for the first RV challenge
(more drum roll) was Laura Atkinson. I had
planned to ask you all to post your results to this Board, but Laura
already made a page with all the submitted results. As there is a
prize, there has to be a winner. Laura provided the target, so she gets
to decide the winner. Everyone is however invited to comment on the
results. Laura, thanks for providing an
excellent target, for donating the prize, and for everything else
you've done to make the first challenge such a great experience. Now,
please show us the results!

2. Re:May's Remote Viewing challenge - results |
|
|
| To start, I want to thank Harry for masterminding this contest, and allowing me to be the first target person. YAY HARRY!!! I
must say that I am so incredibly impressed with everyone's dreaming and
RV ability. This contest was unlike Dales' online experiment from last
year where everyone knew that the target was going to be Dale (we just
didn't know where he was going to be). In this particular contest, not
only was the target area a secret, but the target sender was too. Once
the reports started pouring in, I was fully amazed about the number of
hits. I read (and re-read) everyone’s reports with awe. This link will send you to the page and target information: http://www.arthatglows.com/rv_target.htm This link will send you to the page where everyone’s e-mailed reports are: http://www.arthatglows.com/rv_submitted.htm I
am very interested in the connections that were reported that related
to events immediately after the 30 minute RV. After the 30 minutes I
spend “sending” the target – I was very hot and perspiring from being
in the sun. It was usually hot and humid day. I stopped at the Whole
Foods store and bought a salad and a new drink called “Switch –
Watermelon-Strawberry”. I went home and changed into my bathing suit,
and sat on my very large and colorful beach towel and sat in the sun.
There are always children playing outside on my street. They were
having double-dutch jump rope contests and singing. · Goshengolly
mentioned “watermelon” flavor in her dream. The drink that I bought at
the store was very flavorful, and refreshing and cold (like ice cream
is!). · Berthe described the weather, and the children playing,
and a giant colorful fan made of many colors. My beach towel looks very
similar to the colors in her sketch—blended prismatic colors. Also
-I would like to report on the process of choosing the target area
itself. I had several distinct landmarks and target areas to choose
from. Originally, I had about 5-6 right off the top of my head. On
Tuesday, May 12, 2004 – I narrowed down the possible targets down to
two choices. Where I would go would depend on the weather forecast. 1) if sunny and I could be outside – Frazier Terrace with the Sculpture of Orpheus Ascending 2) if overcast and gray – I would take a tour inside the Russian Submarine that is in Providence, RI ** Both Diana and Harry mention the appearance of submarines. The
toughest part of this was making my choices for 1st 2nd and 3rd place.
They are based of my own interpretations of the reports of waking and
dreaming RV, with sound advice provided to me by Harry. With all that
background information, the Top 3 are: There is a two-way tie for first place: Diana & Ilkin Second Place: Victoria Third Place: Terry =============== Laura’s Comments about Diana’s Report: DIRECT HIT Diana
has successfully picked up on major factors of the target area. Two
buildings, and windows side by side. She also picked up on Escher which
could be a connection to the art museum across from the target site.
She definitely conveyed an answer to my question about angle, and
watching the target site from above. I consider Diana’s references to
Paris Hilton and her (unusual) face significant because I mentioned in
my report that the statues have no distinct facial features. (Also –
the fact that they are semi-nude – like Paris’s scandal –but we don’t
need to elaborate on that!) Diana’s comments on the dream mention a
monument. Diana’s sketch looks like
the landscape where I was, if one was looking towards the target area
from a distance. One street down from the area where I was is the First
Baptist Church, which has a huge (I mean HUGE) steeple. ----------------------------------------- Laura’s Comments about Victoria’s report: STRONG HIT “This
looks like Green Greece”. Victoria has successfully picked up on the
theme of the statue – based on Greek Mythology. There is green grass
and other greenery surrounding the statue itself. She also accurately
mentioned a clearing / plateau. There are three layers of stairs and
clearings – the statue being on the middle “plateau” area. Victoria
also mentioned the nearby trees, as you can see from the photographs,
there are several large trees. Victorias sketch indicates both a
circle and the green grass area. The sketch is strong despite the fact
that the target area had no mountains. ---------------------------- Laura’s Comments about Goshengolly’s report: INDIRECT HIT Goshengolly’s
sketch impresses me because of the accurate depiction of the circle and
something vertical coming out of the top middle of the circle, and two
lines going down below the circle. If I had seen this image alone
without the Space Needle reference – it would have made me abstractly
think of the Greek myth – Orpheus had to stay above the earth, while
his wife and Hades descended below. Even though the dream of the
Eiffel Tower or Space Needle does not depict the target area, the
reference to paste / paint (across from the museum) and watermelon (the
after RV drink) I consider qualify as psi. -------------------------- Laura’s Comments about Terry’s report: HIT Terry
has accurately referenced the target as a statue, pillar of stone. Even
though the statue wasn’t of a lion, she still picked up on the general
target area ============= Laura’s Comments on Kay: HIT Kay
has reported aspects of the target area. The sculpture is also a water
fountain, and has a small water reservoir. Obviously, this target was
man made, and the shape of part of the basin is not exactly round. I
had never heard the term sluice gate, so I did email Kay for
clarification, and I appreciate the quick reply. Even though the target
didn’t have a sluice gate - based on her description: “a man made
device for controlling water levels” related to the water fountain
aspect of the target. =============== Laura’s Comments about Berthe’s report: INDIRECT HIT Although
Berthe does not describe the target area, she does mention significant
things that I did AFTER the RV session. Because of the unusually warm
and humid day, I sat on my porch in my bathing suit, sitting on a towel
very much like her sketch. My neighborhood is full of children who were
playing jump rope at the time I was enjoying the sun. =============== Laura’s Comments about Ilkin’s report: DIRECT HIT Not
only has Ilkin hit segments of the target area, but she has been the
only person who has identified the target “person” and the actual name
of the target city! (“Sunstar” is an alternate screen name of mine.
Although she may remember that screen name from the online groups, she
did not have any prior knowledge that I was the sender.) Ilkin
mentions water, the time was afternoon, the pollen (in the air was
causing people to sneeze- there were actual pollen warnings on the
weather channel) the city area is a combination of old, new, high and
low buildings, trees, and bridges. The shapes of the statues were
mostly curved. She does mention the word angle, but I am not certain on
what she means by that. She mentions
that the initial impression was the Statue of Liberty…a woman standing
in water. Part of the target was a female standing in water. She also mentions music, which I believe picks up on the actual theme of the statue – Orpheus with a musical instrument. ============= Laura’s Comments about Curt’s report: HIT Curt
succeeds in identifying the green grass (although there is no golf
course). There was also yellow in the direct area where I was sitting.
The whole image was viewed and sketched, photographed from above. The
only thing that I could relate the color purple: I drive a purple car,
which is just out of line of site in the photograph. Curt’s
1st images look like a golf course with the 18th hole flag. But if you
remove the association with a golf course and look at the second bottom
image, there is the circular area reference, with something vertical
coming up from the middle of the circle. There is some type of action
with the blue/purple? Lines that could indicate water movement? Also –
it would indicate the green of the grass that was surrounding the
actual target. ========= Laura’s Comments about Harry’s report: INDIRECT HIT Harry
and I were in constant communication about the RV Contest. The only
knowledge that Harry had was that I narrowed down the “target” to two
possible targets areas. I was even a bit elusive with Harry- explaining
that my son would be away for the weekend, giving me the option to
travel, and then going on to say that I may or may not travel out of my
general area. Well Harry – You picked
up on my second alternate target area. J There is a Russian Submarine
in Providence. In order to get to the submarine, one must travel over a
small hanging bridge that crosses the bay. I have provided a website
link to this museum: http://www.providenceri.com/special/sub/hours.html You did identify there was water at the target area. J ============= Laura’s Comments about Kathy’s report: HIT Kathy
mentions stone and references looking at the target from quite high up
in her report. The weather was beautiful that day, and the sky was
blue, although the trees were providing a lot of shade. The color green
is also mentioned, which could be associated with the grass. ================= Laura’s Comments about Rita’s report: HIT I
really enjoyed the way that Rita went about describing the images,
resisting her scientific and analytical abilities to put a name or
label to what she was describing. She
accurately described this area as a quiet place, and referenced a
patterned center similar to the sculptures qualities (round circular
base with the figures being a type of nucleus). Rita also references a
shallow bowl-like image. The target itself was below and to the left of
me. She also has indirect hit about the church in the same
general area with the huge steeple that I mentioned earlier. Across the
street from this sculpture is an art museum. =================== Laura’s Comments about Ralf’s report: HIT Ralf
mentions washing a woman’s leg. When I touched the water in the
fountain, it was near the female figure’s feet. Also an indirect hit –
this has been the second direct reference to insulin that I have
received in the past three days. (My father was recently diagnosed, and
we had a lengthy discussion about my needle paranoia, and how I didn’t
think I would be able to give myself injections. He warned me to take
better care of myself.) |

| Wow! And
fun, too! Well, I for one feel greatly encouraged, the base of the
fountain looks like one of my 'ponds', brownish water with light
reflecting off it (not that I thought to describe that... learning
curve!) - although how I could miss those massive figures above it...? Or how I multiplied it by so many...? The
process was interesting. I was online when I suddenly realised that it
was gone the time by a couple of minutes, and I wondered if I'd get
anything. And then I got the image, and then nothing more. I was
relaxed, but not paying very much attention, as in trying particularly
hard. I just went with what came. When do we get to do the next one?! And thanks! |

| Dear Laura: Thank
you for your thorough analysis of everyone's perceptions of your target
in this RV session. I know it must have taken a lot of time and thought
on your part, yet it is very instructive in how difficult it is in
analyzing the individual perceptions of a community of people picking
up "bits and pieces" of a larger jig-saw puzzle.... Thank you for your
great effort! XO, Goshengolly |

Congratulations Diana, Ilkin, Victoria and Terry!!! And Laura - what a beautiful job you've done - thank you - and thank you to Harry too! Now
(obviously this is a biased viewing maybe) I'm intrigued by the number
of drawings with a series of crenellated (spelling???) shapes (Diana's
and Victoria's and the towel and.mine and .and even the one of the
single triangular shape) - because they are just what strike me about
your image from where you viewed it: ie the overall shape of the top
part of the sculpture repeated in a more geometric manner by the
amazing repeated shapes in the stair railing through which you are
looking. It seems that you Victoria really centered on that -
repeating it twice too - in your mountains and trees. AND they're NOT
upside down Jojafar!!!! Great FUN. What a game to play! Kathy |

| That
was fun! Thanks Laura for a wonderful explanation and presentation of
what was viewed and the story behind it. I've heard of Morpheus "The
Matrix", but not Orpheus, the name is familiar, but I don't know why
the story is not. What I found fascinating
was the secondary target of a submarine. It stuck out like some
question from an SAT test, what doesn't belong? Why might the periphery
be clear versus the center of things? http://groups.msn.com/TravelingWit/sketchbook.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=331 My
beach work in progress....looking at the visuals sent in, I wonder if
there were mutual remote viewings. I was looking at Berthe's drawing
and thought of the rainbow kites (poor photo), but the painting in
progress is based upon them. |

I see Berthe's fan shaped towel and if I twist my image on the side I
see my tower (your tunnel) and Ilkin's (?) tower. Mmmm stranger and stranger...... Kathy |

Well, Orpheus descends into the underworld to retrieve his beloved
Eurydice -- as submarines descend into the undersea... Morpheus, too,
has a submarine, the Nebuchadnezzar (= "Mercury protects the borders",
which submarines sometimes do) -- and his name is that of the Greek god
of dreams. Every dream is a kind of descent into the underworld, isn't
it? Also, Neo descends into the Matrix to rescue Trinity in The Matrix Reloaded. Never thought of the connection between him and Orpheus, though. Come
to think of it, the object of golf is to make your golf ball go into
the cup, which is depressed below the surface of the ground, and each
of the 18 successive challenges to do this in a round of golf is called
a "hole". But after the 18th (= The Moon in Tarot), one "ascends" and
goes on to the "19th hole" -- the bar (= The Sun in Tarot -- cf. the
19-year solilunar cycle) where one imbibes "spirit". (My apologies for
shamelessly hijacking my own dream here!) Harry and Laura, thanks for a wonderfully entertaining contest! Curt |

| I am glad to read that everyone has enjoyed this contest. Diana and Ilkin - Could you please email me your mailing addresses? Send to ArtThatGlows@aol.com (I know I probably have it on file somewhere, but I am rather disorganized lately.) I
am also glad to see that others are making connections to the target
area and to each others dreams that I may have not been obvious to me. Curt
- hijack away because you bring up a good point about submarines. The
sculpture itself captures the moment after the ascension, and the
descension of his wife and Hades. Honestly I was more focused on the
"rise" instead of the "fall" part of the myth. Just because I
personally didn't make the connection, didn't mean that there isn't
one. When Diana and Harry both mentioned submarines, I instantly thought: "How did they know the alternative target?" Thinking more about this, Rita mentioned angels (?) and angels ascend into the heavens too. This game has taught me important lessons about connectedness and interpretation. Looking forward to hearing more from you, Laura A |

| Laura and Harry, Thankyou
very much for giving us this opportunity. It helped me learning to
trust my awake experiences. I didn't have much awake intentional
experience and could trust only my dreams. I hesitated to submit my RV
but the result is more than I wait. Laura; the girls right arm in my
dream was also at her side, a little in front as your scupture. What
kind of a musical instrument Orpheus have? It didn't come to my mind to
think about the music. If my memory is right, they play lir (and /or
some old instruments) in Carmina Burana. Kathy,
if I had any little ability I would draw the same. "Hisar" in your
photo from Istanbul was the first place I remember when I woke up but
since it is in my neighborhood I dismissed any idea related with there.
I am happy we both visited the same historical place. Now you learned
the way, may be you can consider to attend the summer concerts at the
stairs of the castle, under the moomlight with me. Laura and Harry I am very grateful to you for helping my self confidence in awake experiences. Love- ilkin |

Ilkin -
Yes, Orpheus was renowned as a lyrist and singer. He met his end when
his harping intruded on a group of women celebrating a ritual of
Dionysius. They tore him limb from limb and decapitated him. His head,
however, continued to sing as it floated down the river, until Apollo
asked it to stop. Apollo took the lyre and made it his own. Carmina Burana doesn't use any ancient instruments, but the other two parts of the triptych (Catulli Carmina, Triompho di Aphrodite) do. Curt |

| I wonder if everyone has his/ her own method for awake RV or is there a common way? Kathy, no need for chilling we use the castle (?) as an open concert hall in summer. Thanks
for the information Curt. I am not very good in classical music. Last
time I listened Carmina Burana was 4 years before. After reading your
information on Orpheus I made a little search in the internet.
Goshengolly pointed out a very important issue for me. Goshengolly,
your "precognative" dream made me to look my previous dreams and I
found a similarity with Eurydice's story (bitten by snake, going
underground etc) and a dream of mine two days before the experiment,
which I sent to Drem Town and WDPB. Seems like; if I thought about
looking the previous dreams for a precognative information they might
give me more information. Good to learn everyday. Thanks to you all.-
ilkin 13 May 2004 Snakes / energy… There
are snakes hanging in the air, a little higher than me. They are like
floating in the emptiness. They look like fried fish and yellowish. I
am collecting and eating them one by one. I am putting their bones in a
white towel and putting aside. Eating them supposed to turn human into
a kind of energy. To make this energy useful, one has to pass a tunnel
from one to another side of the earth. The tunnel is at the east to
west midsection of the earth, passing from the core. I am entering to
tunnel to pas it. I am reaching to a
green field from the tunnel. There are some buildings of health around.
A young woman asks me for help. I am helping her to take her baby
secretly from a white room. We are taking a kind of vehicle. It looks
like a train from outside but a series of houses from inside. I am
sensing that it is moving by our energy. |

| Congratulations
everyone with these great results. I was really impressed. I'm looking
forward to see whether we will be able to improve on this. The
next challenge should be early June. I'm always looking for volunteer
target providers, so drop me an email if you're interested. I'm
bookmarking two links here. I was looking for more information about
the ascension itself, whether it perhaps had something in common with
the Phoenix (Terry emailed me about that). Anyway, here's something
from encyclopedia.com and from timelessmyths.com. Harry
