1. May's Remote Viewing challenge - instructions |
|
|
last updated at May 12, 2004 09:48 a.m. (1 times) RV instructionsWelcome to the first Remote Viewing challenge. Here are the instructions. Target and date
You
may have attended the ASD Psiberdreaming Conference in 2003. Dale Graff
organized a Remote Viewing contest at that time. The first Remove
Viewing we are going to do, will follow Dale's approach as closely as
possible. There will be one exception. It is a secret who is playing
"Dale" this time. Dale's approach
means that the target provider will be actually at the target location,
and will try to send the target to the viewers for 30 minutes. The
target provider makes photo's and a sketch of the location, and also a
written description. The date is set for Saturday, May 15, 2004. The target provider will start sending at the following time: - Istanbul: 8 pm - Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen: 7 pm - London: 6 pm - New York: 1 pm - Los Angeles: 10 am For more times, see Time and Date.com Submitting results
There are a few rules when you want to officially join the challenge. You're
expected to send in a description of the location, obviously. One or
more sketches will greatly help. Email your results to the target
provider of this month, at the following email address: RVTarget@aol.com, and make sure to do so within 72 hours after the start of this challenge. Simply add three days to the time above. Discussion of the results
After
the three days, I will open a discussion thread, introduce the target
provider to you all, and ask you to post your results online. About
deciding who wins. It depends on what we consider important about the
description. We could approach it as a way to locate the target. Or we
could approach it as an exploration of the target. I suggest we give
more weight to the first, the usefulness of the description for
locating the target. There are no other
guidelines yet on deciding who wins. The target provider will accept
advice on how to decide, but is the only one who gets to make the final
decision. Good luck! Harry P.S. Just to be clear, the challenge is open to everyone. Give it a try, it's fun! There's a webpage with some background information.

| Those on my RV Challenge mailinglist have heard it before: The prize has been donated by Laura Atkinson. It's a small, framed original kirlian photograph of dream energy. Thank you Laura! Not yet on the list? Send me an email at hbosma@xs4all.nl and you will receive RV Challenge announcements too. Harry

Okay Harry - I'll TRY! My time in Brisbane Australia will be Sunday 15th at 3.00 AM SO - I'll try catching up with the sender "out of time" on Sunday morning. You are definitely a great maker of games Harry. Kathy |

Harry Bosma (May 12, 2004 09:48 a.m.): RV instructionsWelcome to the first Remote Viewing challenge. Here are the instructions.
Harry -
As in the 2003 Psiberviewing contest, should we include both
impressions of the target received at the stated time and in our dreams
the following night (which would certainly help out the Aussies!)? Curt |

| Hi Kathy, Mermaid, nice to see Australia so well represented! Setting
a time is difficult. I had a feeling that there would be no west coast
people participating, or are there? Jajofar, welcome too. Are you
perhaps USA west coast? Next time we could try to move the time a few
hours to make it easy for Australians.

| Curt, thanks for the question. About
the time. I'm not sure how important it is to do the remote viewing
exactly on the time given above. Personally I don't worry about it too
much. I was seriously tempted to give it a try a few days ago, but
could resist. However, I'm not sure whether the target provider made
the selection yet. About sending
multiple entries. Less is more. One is best (for example one rv), two
is the maximum (for example one rv, one dream). Basically, my
suggestion would be that somebody who sends in one location that's on
target, has done better than somebody who sends in multiple locations
with one among them that is on target. Oh, while I plan to parcitipate myself, I'm not a contender for the price, naturally. Too much inside information.

| Bumping this post up... It's
only a few hours before the official start. Remember, everyone is
welcome to participate. It costs nothing. No special skills or
experience is required. This is just for fun. Good luck all! Harry

|
| Hello Friendly Viewers: My
remote viewing responsibility is almost over. The time is now 3:06 p.m.
EST, and I will now be downloading my digital pictures and sketch, and
putting them onto a web page to be viewed by all three days from now. Please send your RV descriptions, sketches, impressions, etc to: RVTarget@aol.com
In the email, please explain to me if you are submitting a "waking" RV
or a "dream" RV description (or one of each). Please...maximum only one
of each before the deadline. I cannot wait to reveal my secret identity. Yours Truly, RVTarget |

| Thanks Mermaid. I received your dream and sketch. Harry tells me that if everyone on his list responds, there should be about 15 reports. So far, I have two. Remember,
we are tying together the international community and time zones /
daily activities don't always allow for quick online replies. I am sure that there will be plenty more to come soon. Thanks! Your friendly RV Target.

| Dear RV Target: I
did not join Harry Bosma's list prior to this contest, but I am
assuming that entries are allowed within 72 hours so long as they are
sent to: RVTarget@aol.com. Is this correct? Thank you, Goshengolly |

| Dear Goshengolly: I think Harry is in a time zone where he would be sleeping right now. I will take liberty and answer. This is open to anyone. As long as they send their submissions to RVTarget@aol.com. Thanks, RV Target |

|
| Just a quick update: I
have received 9 submitted RV reports, with a great combination of both
waking and dreaming. Five have submitted sketches / computer images. Also
- I send out an reply acknowlegement email. If you have submitted a
report, and have not received an acknowlegement email - please send
again - or leave a message to me on the board (however - do not include
your RV report on the board) Thank you, RV Target |
