Q: Did you fly in your dreams?
(February 17 - 25 1999: 50 respondents)
|
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Comments: Yours sincerely is the one that answered nearly always. Luckily the large majority knows the experience of flying in a dream, so I'm not that weird afterall. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Q: Did you ever dream you woke up, only to really wake up later?
(February 25, March 12 1999: 44 respondents)
|
| |||||||||||||||||||||
| Comments: This phenomenon is known as the false awakening. It looks like it that this is a very common experience. There's even a 7% group that answered "generally quite often". | ||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Q: Do you think you are more interested in dreams than other people?
(March 12 - 26, 1999: 33 respondents)
|
| |||||||||||||||||||||
| Comments: It seems most visitors of Healing Dreams are not just interested in dreams, they're either very interested or professionals. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Q: In a dream, did you ever take on another identity or personality?
(March 26 - April 7, 1999: 54 respondents)
|
| |||||||||||||||||||||
| Comments: After this quizlet had run I discovered that in my own dreams change of personality is more common than I had realized. Usually it's just a swift change of viewpoint without really feeling the characteristics of another personality, but nonetheless doing and acting like another personality. Anyway, the experience is known to quite a few people apparently. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Q: Did or do you pay attention to the twilight zone just before falling asleep?
(April 7 - 18, 1999: 30 respondents)
|
| |||||||||||||||||||||
| Comments: Interestinly enough, half of the people don't know what I'm talking about. The twilight zone is the stage between waking and sleep. You can see images, either abstract or simple impressions but not real dreams. Try paying attention to it the next time you go asleep, it can be interesting indeed. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Q: Were you ever afraid that people may find you weird because of your interest in
dreaming?
(April 18 - May 1, 1999: 46 respondents)
|
| ||||||||||||||||||
| Comments: Why are so few people paying attention to their dreams? One of the explanations I had is that there is a social barrier. But for 70% this never seems to have been the problem. I'll have to try other explanations. | |||||||||||||||||||
|
Q: Do you hear music in your dreams?
(May 1 - 11, 1999: 36 respondents)
|
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Comments: Judging by the high number for "don't know" most people aren't paying attention to music in their dreams. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Q: Did you have an Out-Of-Body experience?
(May 11 - 24, 1999: 46 respondents)
|
| |||||||||||||||||||||
| Comments: Half of the respondents seem to have had at least one Out-Of-Body experience. That's quite a lot I'd think. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
